DOING BUSINESS WITH CARNEGIE MELLON

Carnegie Mellon is a not-for-profit institution.  The university does a large amount of sponsored business with various agencies of the US government as well as companies ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to very small groups.  Being a not-for-profit institution means that research contracts are constrained to meet specific terms.  Being an international university, restricted research (that requires approval for publication or US nationality) is handled by operating at specific facilities.  Intellectual Property is handled by the Center for Technology Transfer.
